Meet Our Team

Here at My Little Feet we believe that we have the best early childhood educators around! (We also might be a little bit bias he he).

The importance of a partnership between parents and educators has been shown time and again. By getting to know your child care team, both you and your child benefit! Families know their children’s strengths, personality and behaviours and by forming this partnership staff are better able to understand your child. This understanding allows staff to focus on meeting your child’s need and be able them to support their development.

We quized our teachers here at Aikenvale so we can get to them. So let’s support our children’s development and…

Get To Know Our Teachers

Laurelle – Centre Director

Our centre director Laurelle has been with My Little Feet for over three years! We thought it is important to have a little ‘get to know you’ with Laurelle, so here it is!

Tell us a bit about you…..

I have been happily married for 40 years on the 25/6/17. (most times) 😊

I love caring for my pets 2 dogs Pippa and Cosmo, plus one very special cat named Honey who thinks she is the boss of everyone.

I love hanging out with my two daughters and my six grandchildren (of which I am very proud of).

My 2 eldest grandchildren Mikayla and Abby both do dancing and I love watching them up on stage with the confidence they have and sometimes have a tear in my eye on how proud I am of them both just to get up there and do their best.

My grandsons do cricket and soccer I am just as proud of them to have such great team spirit. The hardest thing I have been through was last year when I had my eldest grandson who was 11 years old was diagnose with cancer and how he has fought back and push through to be now in remission it makes you realise how short life can be for some, the hard times we went through as a family and how much it made how family pulled together through the hard times and the support we received through the centre and the community it makes you appreciate life so much more.

I have always wanted to help children to grow into beautiful young confident children and care for each other. My aim in life is to help the younger educators that are coming through to show passion in their work and the children will learn and grow from there enjoyment of teaching them about life and you are never too old to learn something new each day from the children as well.
